Community-Based Services
Day Habilitation - Centers operated by BOC or other providers which assist clients in acquiring, retaining, and/or improving self-help, socialization, vocational, and adaptive skills necessary to reside successfully in the community. Skills taught in school, therapy, and other settings are reinforced. Our center is open from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on weekdays and offers a wide variety of fun activities in a group setting to foster interpersonal skills. Click here for a closer look.
PAS/HAB (Personal Assistant Services/Habilitation) - Individuals receive support services allowing them to live as independently as possible with their family or in their own home. Services are rendered on a regular basis to reinforce a specific goal such as safe and reliable transportation to preferred activities and/or appointments, socialization skills, and money management.
Employment Assistance - Provided by support staff to assist clients through the process of securing a job by focusing on areas such as prospecting, filling out applications, and interview preparation.
Supported Employment - Provided by support staff to assist with job retention once attained. Clients receiving supported employment are compensated by the employer in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Respite - Provided for individuals in both the home and community to relieve their families for planned or unplanned events on an as-needed basis.
Transportation - Provided by support staff as a way to get to and from appointments, work and other community outings. Services can be one-on-one with a personal driver or on of our company vans.
